An accident happened on Sunday night near Hirabagh turn on Dayalbagh road in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Two trucks entered despite no entry due to Shiv Mandir Parikrama. Wires of speakers installed in the pandal got entangled in one truck. The truck kept moving forward. Speakers fell down due to this and people got buried under them. This created panic. People stopped the trucks. There was a ruckus. Police reached on information and somehow pacified the situation.

The accident happened after midnight. People had put up a pandal at the Hirabagh turn. People doing parikrama were being welcomed in it. Speakers were also installed in the pandal. Devotees were going towards Balkeshwar through this route. Suddenly a truck came from the direction of Bhagwan Talkies in the night, while a mini truck arrived from the direction of Poiya Ghat. The wires for the speakers of the bhandaar got entangled in the mini truck. This caused the speakers to fall. The driver tried to drive the truck away. But, the pandal fell down. Many people got buried under it. This created panic.
Later the driver left the truck and ran away. People stopped the other truck too. They snatched the keys. The driver ran away after this. People started saying that they will set the truck on fire. But by then the police had arrived. People were saying that how did the trucks come despite the no entry order. They accused the police of negligence. However, the police calmed everyone down.
The truck that caused the accident was stopped. Station in-charge inspector of New Agra Dharmendra Singh Bhati said that the truck had unloaded the goods in Khaspur. It had come from Poiya. The accident happened due to entanglement of wires. People were asked to give a written complaint. But, no one came to give a written complaint. No one was injured in the accident.
